Insight & Engagement: Behind the Scenes with Solimar's CAC at RevSpring

The Solimar Customer Advisory Council (CAC) was on the road again, this time landing at the RevSpring Oaks, PA, print and mail facility on April 2, 2025. The goal for every CAC meeting is collaboration, networking, and learning – and that is exactly what happened! This gathering was not just a meeting but a convergence of industry leaders, experts, and visionaries, all eager to explore the future of print and digital communication. Attendees included current Solimar customers, some prospective customers, and Solimar partners David Herr from Allyant, Hansen Longfellow from Hansen360, and Maggie Curry from RISO.

The day started with a warm welcome and a continental breakfast, setting the stage for engaging sessions. Pat McGrew, McGrewGroup, long-time consultant with Solimar Systems, provided insightful updates on the latest trends and challenges facing the print and mail industry. The lively discussion included the changing legal landscape that print and mail companies face and some options for achieving postal discounts through the USPS promotions.

The hosts for the CAC at RevSpring were Eric Hollingsworth, Carrie Sublett, and Scott Ashtheimer, who shared their expertise and vision for the future. Oaks is one of three facilities RevSpring operates, leveraging internally developed solutions and partner solutions from vendors like Solimar. As power users of ReadyPDF and Rubika, RevSpring has added efficiency to its workflow and streamlined how jobs move from the point they enter the system to their arrival at the DFE on the printers and presses for production.

Solimar Technology Updates

Mary Ann Rowan, Solimar CXO, unveiled the company’s latest technology advancements. She provided a comprehensive review with use cases of the Solimar Chemistry Platform, which is designed to optimize PDF workflows, automate job assembly, and enhance visibility and tracking. This platform is a testament to Solimar’s commitment to providing scalable, multi-channel solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients.

Everyone also met Diego, Solimar’s new AI bot. Diego resides on the Solimar Systems website and on Solimar University Online (SUO). It is designed to answer questions on all products and modules and find information in the user manuals. Diego is in constant training and becomes more beneficial to the Solimar team, partners, and customers every day.

Behind the Scenes at RevSpring

One of the highlights of onsite customer meetings is a facility tour! The RevSpring team took all attendees through their impressive factory, discussing workflows and processes that ensure they meet all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for their clients. This tour provided a unique opportunity to witness the integration of Solimar’s solutions in a real-world setting, showcasing the seamless synergy between technology and production. All attendees, along with everyone in the factory, were treated to a delicious lunch hosted by the RevSpring team. Amazing hospitality!

Spotlighting Partners!

The afternoon sessions featured updates from Allyant, Hansen360, and RISO. These presentations highlighted the collaborative efforts to enhance and optimize solutions for situations commonly found in Solimar customer sites.

The day transitioned to a group dinner hosted by Solimar at a local restaurant rumored to be haunted! The dinner lasted into the night as the conversations covered workflow challenges and different problem-solving approaches. It was also a chance for everyone to catch up on a personal level, building relationships that will last a long time.

A Solimar Customer Advisory Council meeting is always more than just an event; it is a platform for building the future of solutions for regulated and non-regulated customer communications, including publishing, labels, and packaging applications. These meetings foster an environment of collaboration and innovation and help Solimar strengthen its position as a leader in the industry.
