Dynamic Augmented Reality – Next Stop Hunkeler Innovationdays 2017

Our AR (Augmented Reality) reality journey started just over a year ago. Driven by the idea, how we can add even more value to existing documents, how we can keep “standard” transactional pieces evergreen.

Over a number of events, we started introducing this idea to our customers and partners – the feedback was overwhelming.

However, let’s recap what we are doing here:

• Augmented reality depends on markers, in our case, in documents.
• Smart product and marketing managers have ideas what messages they want to get across with a different kind of user experience.
• Users are invited to download an app to their smartphones, use the camera, find the marker and can view this additional information paper would not be able to display.

So far, so good, we can hear you say, I have done that, too, nothing special about it. Agreed.

However, what if, this information were to talk to you? As in only you?

This is where AR fits into our line of business again.

Together with our friends at TREKK, we can deliver a dynamics AR experience. Documents that talk to you, and only you.
The basics remain the same: marker, app (yes, another app, but only until all smartphones are smart enough and have AR as a built-in feature), and AR content. What’s unique is, that with TREKK’s technology the e.g. video messages you add to your documents are dynamic, personalized. They “talk” to the recipient by e.g. picking up their names, information/data otherwise only printed. You can add personalized coupons, call options, payment options – the is as long as the data available that allows for a personalized experience.
